Shannon spotted this bright yellow Guayacán tree while traveling in Panama this month. A burst of joy against the gray sky and plain concrete wall.

Known for its vivid blooms, the Guayacán often signals the arrival of spring across Latin America. Yellow, as studies in color psychology show, is tied to happiness, energy, and clarity—and this tree wears it like a celebration.
